A Cambridge Sea Cadet had the huge honour of meeting HM The King during his visit to Cambridge Central Mosque on Monday 20th July.
Corporal Champion attended the visit as one of the Lord Lieutenant’s Cadets for Cambridgeshire and did a fantastic job representing both the county and the Sea Cadets.
This occasion reflects the wider opportunities available to young people through the Sea Cadets. Experiences such as serving as a Lord Lieutenant’s Cadet help develop confidence, leadership, public engagement skills and an understanding of civic life. Corporal Champion’s involvement in such a significant visit demonstrates how these opportunities prepare young people to contribute meaningfully within their communities.
Cambridge Sea Cadets are immensely proud of Corporal Champion’s achievement and of the example she sets for other cadets. Her dedication and conduct highlight the impact of the Sea Cadets in supporting young people to grow, lead and represent their communities with distinction.
