The Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Associations established a joint committee called the Council of Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Associations (CRFCA) over 25 years ago to enable the RFCAs to carry out some functions as a single entity in accordance with a framework agreement. The CRFCA Constitution dated 2010 provides the authority for the CRFCA to act on behalf of the 13 RFCAs, to liaise with Ministers, Government Departments, Service Headquarters and the Community in order to represent the collective opinion of the 13 RFCAs.

CRFCA are responsible for publishing annual accounts and statutory reports such as the five-year review of the RFCAs, the annual Cadet Health Check and the External Scrutiny Team assessment of the Reserve Forces in accordance with regulations.
