The first National Cadets Week takes place from 5-11 October 2026, dedicated to celebrating everything the cadet movement has to offer.
With around 137,000 cadets and 28,000 adult volunteers currently active in the UK, the week will see units opening their doors, telling their stories and demonstrating the difference cadets make to young people, families and communities.
Each day of National Cadets Week will have a different theme, and each day we’ll be sharing stories and activities from cadet units across East Anglia.

At East Anglia RFCA one of our key roles is to champion, support and enable the thousands of cadets within our region, ensuring they have safe places and equipment for their training.
During National Cadets Week we’ll also be sharing some of the work we do to ensure that cadets have access to the very best training, facilities and staff.
Whether it’s giving something back to the community, celebrating volunteers, learning lifesaving skills or welcoming new people through the doors, National Cadets Week will showcase the opportunities, friendships, skills and experiences that being part of the cadet movement can provide.
