Hertfordshire County Council launches veterans survey during Armed Forces Week

Hertfordshire County Council marks Armed Forces Week each year as part of their commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant. This year, they’ve launched a Hertfordshire Veteran Healthcare Access survey alongside encouraging everyone to show support online for those in the Armed Forces, and their families, to provide them with a much-valued morale boost.

The Veteran Healthcare Access survey is funded by Hertfordshire Public Health, conducted by Healthwatch Hertfordshire and is available for all Hertfordshire veterans to complete until 27 September 2020.

There are approximately 36,000 veterans living in Hertfordshire. The survey seeks to deepen the knowledge and understanding of veterans’ experiences, which is vital for the Council to ensure the Armed Forces community face no disadvantage when accessing services.

Councillor Terry Douris has posted a short video on YouTube to invite all Hertfordshire Veterans to take part in the survey.

The Council established the Hertfordshire Armed Forces Covenant Board, Hertfordshire Heroes, to deliver on the pledge they’ve made to the Armed Forces community.
