Hadleigh Cadets enjoy fun day at Thorpe Woodlands

Cadets from Suffolk ACF‘s Hadleigh Detachment recently spent a Saturday at Thorpe Woodlands Activity Centre, enjoying a well-deserved reward for all the hard work, commitment and dedication they have shown over the past year.

The day started with the zip wire, where everyone had the opportunity to take the leap and launch themselves down. After this the cadets headed to the climbing wall, where everyone had the chance to challenge themselves by climbing to the top before safely abseiling back down.

The next challenge was the Leap of Faith. This was a test of everyone’s confidence, as they had to step off a tower into what felt like thin air, trusting the rope to slow their descent. This gave cadets the opportunity to to face their fears and step outside of their comfort zone.

To finish off the action-packed day, the cadets took on Tree Trekking. This proved to be the winning activity of the day, with everyone enjoying the challenges and supporting each other along the way.

Suffolk ACF congratulated cadets for their enthusiasm, teamwork and willingness to try something new. They look forward to many more adventures together!

East Anglia RFCA is grateful to the hard work of cadet force adult volunteers, without whom activities like this would not be possible. You can find more about becoming an adult volunteer here.
