Commandant Norfolk Vacancy – Applications are invited for the position of Commandant Norfolk Army Cadet Force (ACF) based out of the Cadet Centre, Norwich Street, Dereham, Norfolk, NR19 1AD. This position will be available as of 1 May 26, the successful applicant will therefore be appointed on or after that date depending on individual availability or completion of the recruitment process.
This is a voluntary appointment that carries an initial three-year tenure, extendable thereafter by up to a maximum of two years if agreed by the Commander JMC Centre who must be satisfied that the extension is in the best interests of the cadet movement.
Under the regulations for a Cadet Force Commission, the successful applicant will assume the rank of ACF Col if qualified. They will also be eligible for up to a maximum of 28 days “Volunteer Allowance” and will be entitled to residence to place of duty and motor mileage allowances whilst on official duties.
Candidates should ideally have held a commission in the Regular Forces, Reserves or MOD sponsored Cadet organisations. Exceptionally applicants with extensive senior leadership in other youth, community or voluntary sectors will be considered.
It is a requirement under the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Code of Practice that this position requires an ‘Enhanced Disclosure’ prior to appointment.
