William Duggan, known as Jimmy, served a full 37 year career in the regular Army, 1^st Battalion Irish Guards, as a soldier and as a commissioned officer (Late Entry) retiring in September 2020.

His last posting was in the rank of Lieutenant Colonel as the Commanding Officer London Central Garrison. Jimmy gained experience in civilian employment in the offshore wind industry before moving a Facilities Manager role for a SEN School in Norfolk.
