A major building refurbishment project has provided improved and upgraded facilities for Air Cadets and adult volunteers based in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire.

The improvements have taken place at the home of 309 (Sawbridgeworth) Squadron, RAF Air Cadets, which provides a wide range of activities for young people aged 12-20.

The detachment’s building has been transformed with new flooring, heating, lighting and a fresh coat of paint throughout, creating a brighter and more welcoming space. The ablutions have been upgraded, and the kitchen now boasts an array of new white goods.

A new fire alarm system has been fitted to improve safety across the site. Additional outside storage has also been added, giving the Squadron more space to keep equipment secure and readily accessible.
