Commandant Cambridgeshire Vacancy: Applications are invited for the position of Commandant Cambridgeshire ACF based out of Denny End Road, Waterbeach, Cambridge, CB25 9QU. The post will be available on the 17 Jul 26, the successful applicant will therefore be appointed on or about that date, subject to availability. A structured hand over can be arranged via the Col Cadets East Anglia and the County Deputy Commandant.
This is a voluntary appointment that carries an initial three-year tenure, extendable thereafter by up to a maximum of two years if agreed by Commander JMC Centre who must be satisfied that the extension is in the best interests of the cadet movement.
Under the regulations for a Cadet Force Commission, the successful applicant will assume the rank of ACF Col if qualified. They will also be eligible for up to a maximum of 28 days “Volunteer Allowance” and residence to place of duty/motor mileage allowances whilst on official duty.
Candidates should ideally have held a commission in the Regular Forces, Reserves or MOD sponsored Cadet organisations. Exceptionally, applicants with extensive senior leadership experience in other youth, community or voluntary sectors will be considered.
It is a requirement under the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Code of Practice that this position requires an ‘Enhanced Disclosure’ prior to appointment.
