Finance Manager promoted to Head of Finance

Jeremy White head of Finance

Jeremy White has been promoted to Head of Finance just weeks after achieving his Chartered Certified Accountant qualification through ACCA.

Jeremy started working at the East Anglia RFCA in 2012 on a 3 month contract to reconcile the electricity bills for all 500 buildings in East Anglia RFCA’s estate portfolio. Appointed to the role of Finance Assistant at the end of his contract and then to Finance Manager in 2015, Jeremy has been working towards his ACCA qualification for 7 years.

His ACCA achievement coincided with the retirement of our longstanding Head of Business Services, Nick Stephens, whose department included the Finance team.

Colonel Ray Wilkinson, Chief Executive of the East Anglia RFCA, said: “I am confident that Jeremy will continue the successful development of the Finance team that Nick has led so competently for the past 19 years.”

Jeremy has shown strong dedication and commitment to East Anglia RFCA over the years, not least in the preparation of year-end accounts, at times sacrificing weekends and evenings to ensure absolute exactness in the closing down of accounts, accruals, processing of invoices and preparation of the accounts and documentation for auditors.

He says: “I’m proud to have been heavily involved in developing my staff over the years and of the regular contact I’ve had with staff in the region to assist them with financial queries. I aim to continue providing support to staff both locally and regionally in the same way as before.”

Jeremy is supported by Lance Porter, the Finance Assistant, and Cameron Chambers, the Business Service Apprentice placed in the Finance team.

Please join us in congratulating Jeremy on his new appointment, which was effective from 1st March 2019.
