109 members of the Armed Forces were recognised by Her Majesty the Queen in the New Year Honours 2021 for their contribution during the pandemic. 

The Ministry of Defence released the list of Armed Forces personnel who have received recognition in the New Year Honours 2021.

Nineteen percent of Armed Forces personnel who received recognition were female. This is well below the 49% female recipients of honours in this year’s New Year Honours list, but above the proportion of females in the UK Armed Forces, currently at 10.9% in the UK Regulars and 14.9% in the Future Reserves 2020 (Source: MOD diversity statistics).
