Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust announces new small grants programme

The Armed Forces Covenant Fund has announced a new grants programme for charities, schools, or military groups to apply for up to £10,000 in funding by 30th June.

Eligible organisations can apply for funding for an enjoyable and engaging project that encourages social interaction between people from Armed Forces communities. Importantly, projects should be able to take place while restrictions relating to the pandemic are ongoing.

Guidance is available for applicants to submit all the required information ahead of the 30th June deadline. They’ve called it the Forces Communities Together programme, and projects are expected to last up to six months and must begin by mid-October.

In the 2019/20 financial year, the Armed Forces Covenant Fund awarded over £21 million to groups supporting their Armed Forces communities.

Their latest survey revealed there’s a desire for them to focus on supporting initiatives aimed at reducing social isolation. More information can be found on their website at covenantfund.org.uk.
