VACANCY – FULL TIME ESTATES OFFICER
Start date March 2020
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Estates Officer at East Anglia Reserve Forces and Cadets Association (RFCA) based in Chelmsford, Essex.
East Anglia RFCA is one of 13 RFCAs across the UK and widely recognised as the most valuable, knowledgeable and authoritative body in support of the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force Reserve Forces and Cadet Organisations in East Anglia. The Association is an arms-length public body, apolitical and independent from the Ministry of Defence although funded by it to deliver its three mandated Defence outputs of managing the Reserve and Cadet Estates, Community and Employer Engagement, and support to Cadets.
The Estates team manage an impressive portfolio of around 200 Reserve Forces and Cadet Sites across East Anglia and in addition to providing the management and upkeep of the estate, handle the acquisition and disposal of land and buildings, and adapt homes for injured service personnel.
Ideally from a building maintenance, facilities management or building surveying background you will have detailed knowledge of building fabric, services and compliance. You will be responsible to the Head of Estates for the preparation and control of major and minor works projects; control of a budget; carrying out regular building inspections; preparing maintenance plans, writing specifications and issuing of works orders to achieve effective and value for money management for the Association’s properties. The post-holder will be required to travel throughout the East Anglian area for which a Company Car shall be provided. A detailed job description will be developed based on the successful candidate.
This post is for 42 hours per week including lunch breaks. This position attracts a current salary of circa £20,000 p.a. Benefits include a generous defined benefit pension scheme (with the option for Additional Voluntary Contributions), annual leave of 25 days plus public holidays (incrementally rising to 30 days after 5 years of service), provision of a Company Car and free on-site parking.

VACANCY – ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER (EMPLOYER ENGAGEMENT)

A stimulating opportunity has arisen for a Full Time Administrative Officer (Employer Engagement) at East Anglia Reserve Forces and Cadets Association, located close to Chelmsford City centre, Essex (CM2 6BU).
We are widely recognised as the most valuable, knowledgeable and authoritative body in support of reserve forces and cadet organisations in East Anglia.
As a public organisation with Crown status we champion our local MOD sponsored youth organisations, sustaining 250+ units and we nurture enduring networks with employers and local authorities, supporting Reserves and Cadets.
We are looking for a highly organised individual with excellent numeracy and literacy skills, computer literate, able to learn new systems quickly and work with minimum supervision. Good communication and inter-personal skills are essential along with a knowledge of Customer Relations Management (CRM) databases.
The Administrative Officer (Employer Engagement)’s range of tasks include maintenance of the CRM database, assist with the delivery of the Employer Engagement plan and assist with preparation of events and event communications.
This position attracts a current salary of £19,911 pa. Additional benefits include a generous defined benefit pension scheme, annual leave of 25 days plus bank and public holidays (rising to 30 days after 5 years of service) and free on-site parking.
