VACANCY – ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER (EMPLOYER ENGAGEMENT)

Start date August 2021

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Full Time Administrative Officer (Employer Engagement) at East Anglia Reserve Forces and Cadets Association, located close to Chelmsford City centre, Essex (CM2 6BU).

We are widely recognised as the most valuable, knowledgeable and authoritative body in support of reserve forces and cadet organisations in East Anglia.

As a public organisation with Crown status:

  • We champion our local MOD sponsored youth organisations, sustaining 250+ units.
  • We nurture enduring networks with employers and local authorities, supporting Reserves and Cadets.

We are looking for a highly organised individual with excellent numeracy and literacy skills, computer literate, able to learn new systems quickly and work with minimum supervision. Good communication and inter-personal skills are essential both virtual and Face-to-Face along with a knowledge of Customer Relations Management (CRM) databases.  A full driving licence is essential.

The Administrative Officer (Employer Engagement)’s range of tasks include:

  • Maintenance of the CRM database.
  • Assist with the delivery of the Employer Engagement plan.
  • Assist with preparation and attendance of events, and event communications.

This position attracts a current salary of £20,919 pa. Additional benefits include a generous defined benefit pension scheme, annual leave of 25 days plus bank and public holidays (rising to 30 days after 5 years of service) and free on-site parking.

VACANCY – FULL TIME LOGISTIC SUPPORT OFFICER

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Logistic Support Officer at East Anglia Reserve Forces and Cadets Association (RFCA) based at Essex Army Cadet Force, in Brentwood, Essex.

East Anglia RFCA is one of 13 RFCAs across the UK and widely recognised as the most valuable, knowledgeable and authoritative body in support of the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force Reserve Forces and Cadet Organisations in East Anglia. The Association is an arms-length public body, apolitical and independent from the Ministry of Defence although funded by it to deliver its three mandated Defence outputs of managing the Reserve and Cadet Estates, Community and Employer Engagement, and support to Cadets.

As a public sector organisation with Crown status, we are looking for an organised individual with excellent numeracy and literacy skills, who is computer literate and able to learn new systems quickly and work with the minimum of supervision. Good communication and inter-personal skills are required.

Range of tasks include:

-Stores Management and Accounting

-SHEF Management

-Cadet Training

-Security

You must have experience of, and preferably be qualified in, Safety, Health, Environmental and Fire matters and Stores Management. The successful candidate must complete the Ammunition Storeman’s course within twelve months of taking up post, if not already qualified. You will be expected to travel throughout the region and be flexible with working hours as some evening & weekend work will be necessary.

This post is for 47 hours per week including lunch breaks on an All Hours Worked contract. This position attracts a current salary of £24,364 p.a. Additional benefits include a generous defined benefit pension scheme, annual leave of 25 days plus public holidays (rising to 30 days after 5 years of service) and free on-site parking.

VACANCY FOR A COMMANDANT – ESSEX ARMY CADET FORCE

A vacancy will occur in September for a Commandant in Essex Army Cadet Force, based at Chelmsford. The County ACF comprises 32 detachments, with over 1050 Cadets and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers on strength.

The post of Commandant is a voluntary appointment. However, the successful applicant will be eligible to receive remuneration in the form of Volunteer Allowance (VA) for full day’s attendance and certain other allowances for subsistence and travel when on ACF duty in accordance with ACF Regulations and within the limits advised by Brigade.

Candidates must hold or have held a Land Forces or a Cadet Forces commission.

It is a requirement under the Disclosure and Barring Service Code of Practice that this position requires an “Enhanced Disclosure” prior to appointment.

The Secretariat (7 Bde MS) reserves the right to contact an applicant’s current Commandant (or Commanding Officer in the case or Regular or Army Reserve applicants) to ask for a reference where this is deemed necessary.
