Supportive Employers at the Tower

On Thursday evening, a group of supportive Employers were invited to the Royal Regiment of the Fusiliers Museum in the iconic Tower of London to witness the 700 year old tradition of the Ceremony of the Keys.

Each Employer was invited to attend the ancient tradition by SaBRE (Supporting Britain’s Reservists and Employers) and East Anglia RFCA (Reserve Forces and Cadets Association) because of the support they have shown to Defence.

Before the ceremony took place, invitees had the chance to mingle with other Employers and take a look around the Royal Regiment of the Fusiliers Museum. A presentation was given by Kristina Carrington, Regional Employer Engagement Director from East Anglia RFCA offering information on the benefits of signing the Corporate Covenant.

Among some of the attendees were representatives from Essex Police, Southend Hospital and Birketts Solicitors who were all ‘delighted’ to attended such a historic event.

The Corporate Covenant is a voluntary statement of support for the Armed Forces Community which builds a two way relationship between Employers and Defence. Businesses and organisations who sign it, publically declare their support indicating that they are an Armed Forces friendly organisation.

If you are interested in showing your support to Defence, then please get in touch with Regional Employer Engagement Director Kristina Carrington on 01245 244817 who would be more than happy to discuss your proposal for support.
