DISC Chicksands hosts Employer Engagement Dinner to celebrate SaBRE Supporters

On Thursday 27th February, guests were invited to a dinner at the Defence Intelligence and Security Centre (DISC) headquarters in Chicksands where local companies received awards for their support to SaBRE.

DISC Chicksands hosts Employer Engagement Dinner to celebrate SaBRE Supporters Those in attendance were treated to a glamorous evening which included a three course dinner and presentations from Reservists to provide guests with an understanding of their roles and the skills gained through military training.

Held at one of the most striking military bases in the UK, the DISC at Chicksands is the UK Defence Agency responsible for training all service personnel in intelligence, security and information support.

With a unique and historical venue, the occasion provided a special backdrop in which to present local companies with their confirmation of support to SaBRE.

Those which were awarded on the evening included Sage Care Limited, Anritsu EMEA Limited, Aircraft Research Association, Bedfordshire Police, Royal Mail, MK Sector, The FON Partnership, Bedford Hospital NHS Trust, Central Bedfordshire Council and Highways Agency.

Mr Andy Rayment, Chairman of the Bedfordshire Employer Engagement Group, presented each company with a framed certificate. The certificate confirms their Supportive status in national recognition of their commitment to be a Supportive Employer of the Armed Forces’ Reserves and was signed by the Rt Hon Philip Hammond MP, Secretary of State for Defence.
