Breakfast Seminar for Employers

East Anglia RFCA Employer Engagement SaBRE team are hosting a free breakfast seminar for employers on Wednesday 12th November.

Held at Trinity Park in Ipswich, this seminar gives you the opportunity to discover how the increased reliance on Reservists could impact your business and how you, as an employer, could benefit from employing people willing to take on this role.

Breakfast Seminar for Employers Legislation changes from 1 October have made it far easier and advantageous for organisations to employ Reservists. For example, payments of up to £500 to the employer for every month an employee is on active service.

So, it’s time to ‘get in line, learn the drill’ and join us, together with Birketts.

With more emphasis likely to be placed on Reservists in the future it is important to know your obligations, and employers may be surprised to learn how advantageous Reservists can be to the workforce.

Important changes in law surrounding the employment of Reservists comes into effect on 1 October and SaBRE is delighted to be working with Birketts to encourage businesses to consider the role of the Reservist and become a supportive employer, of which there are already 1,693 in the country.

Our seminar speakers:
Lieutenant Colonel Rob Olney, Commanding Officer 6 Army Air Corps:
The support available to businesses and the benefits; financial, CSR and motivational.

Donald Blair, Managing Director, Aquablast Ltd:
An experienced supporter and employer of Reservists.

An employment partner from Birketts:
The employment law aspects and understanding the changes imposed from 1 October 2014.

Reservists will also give first-hand accounts on their experiences and a full English breakfast will be served.
