Soldiers from 151 Regiment The Royal Logistic Corps have been taking part in a Skiing exercise in Serre Chevalier, France, this month
Exercise SPARTAN HIKE is the Army Inter Semi Final for both the Army Alpine and Nordic Skiing Championships and incorporates the Army Reserve Ski Championships.
It is also one of the two essential qualification competitions for the Army Alpine and Army Nordic Championships.
Private Svetlana Link (pictured right), a reservist with 151 Regiment RLC came first in the Army Reserve Biathlon.
Svetlana 30, from Brentwood Essex, said: “It was a tough competition and I am thrilled to have won this award. Joining the reserves has provided me the opportunity for adventure. Last year I was ski diving, this year Skiing, I am looking forward to my military training exercises and am really enjoying my time with the Reserves”.
Svetlana is a police officer in her civilian career and is training with the Army Reserve to be a driver in the 124 Transport Squadron, Royal Logistic Corps based at the Army Reserve Centre, Warley near Brentwood.
