“Ready Aye Ready”
The Sea Cadets are a charitable national maritime organisation dating from 1854. Anyone aged 12 to 18 can join and some detachments have a junior section for boys and girls aged 10 to 12.
The Sea Cadets offers opportunities for water-based activities including sailing, powerboating and canoeing as well as land-based activities such as sports and band practice. You can also gain qualifications including First Aid and BTECs as well as those with a more nautical theme such as awards from the Royal Yachting Association and the British Sub Aqua Club.
