The competition involved drawing a Christmas card for Armed Forces personnel serving away from home over the holiday period. The winner of the competition is Jessica Andrea Frumuselu, from Hartsbourne Primary School in Bushey. She has won a day of adventure at Northwood HQ along with the runner up, Misha, from Orchard Primary School. The Hertfordshire Armed Forces Covenant Board, known locally as Hertfordshire Heroes, runs this competition every year to help bring the military and civilian communities closer. This year, Hertfordshire Heroes worked more closely with Northwood HQ, who produced a video to help promote the competition. The video was intended for teachers and children to get an insight into all the things the military does. Twenty schools took part and Hertfordshire Heroes received the highest number of entries to date.
