VACANCY – FULL TIME CLIENT SIDE SURVEYOR / FACILITIES MANAGER

EARFCA have a vacancy for a Client Side Building Surveyor / Facilities Manager, (Pay Band C2,) based at its Headquarters in Chelmsford, Essex, with responsibility for Reserve and Cadet properties in the East Anglian area.
East Anglia RFCA is one of 13 RFCAs across the UK and widely recognised as the most valuable, knowledgeable and authoritative body in support of the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force Reserve Forces and Cadet Organisations in East Anglia. The Association is an arms-length public body, apolitical and independent from the Ministry of Defence although funded by it to deliver its three mandated Defence outputs of managing the Reserve and Cadet Estates, Community and Employer Engagement, and support to Cadets.
Applicants will possess a sound working knowledge of current building regulations, be experienced in budgetary control and be computer literate. They will be responsible to the Head of Estates for the preparation and control of major and minor works projects; control of a budget; carrying out annual building inspections and preparation of related maintenance plans; preparation of specifications and invitations to tender, and letting of works orders. The post-holder will be required to travel throughout the East Anglian area.
The starting salary is £31,696 per annum in addition to the following benefits:

The appointment commences with a probationary period of twelve months.
