VACANCY – FULL TIME CADET ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Start date February 2018
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Full Time Cadet Administrative Assistant at Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire ACF office, located close to Hertford city centre.
As a public sector organisation with Crown status, we are looking for an organised individual with excellent numeracy and literacy skills, who is computer literate and able to learn new systems quickly and work with the minimum of supervision. Good communication and inter-personal skills are required. You will support the county quartermaster to deliver:
• Routine Stores Management and Accounting at county level
• Support as required to the subunits
• County ammunition storeman
• Day to day MT management of vehicles and documents
• SHE(P) Management
• Management of ACF Properties
You must have experience of, and preferably be qualified in, Safety, Health, Environmental and Fire matters, MT and Stores Management. The successful candidate must complete the Ammunition Storeman’s course within twelve months of taking up post, if not already qualified. You may be expected to travel throughout the region and be flexible with working hours as some evening & weekend work will be necessary.
The post is for 47 hours a week on an All Hours Worked contract. This position attracts a current salary of £22,780 p.a. Additional benefits include a generous defined benefit pension scheme, annual leave of 25 days plus public holidays (rising to 30 days after 5 years of service) and free on-site parking.
