VACANCY FOR A DEPUTY COMMANDANT (HR) ESSEX ARMY CADET FORCE

A vacancy will occur with effect from April 2019 for a Deputy Commandant (HR) in Essex Army Cadet Force, based at Chelmsford. The County ACF comprises 32 detachments, with over 1150 Cadets and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers on strength.

The post of Deputy Commandant (HR) is a voluntary appointment. However, the successful applicant will be eligible to receive remuneration in the form of Volunteer Allowance (VA) for full day’s attendance and certain other allowances for subsistence and travel when on ACF duty in accordance with ACF Regulations and within the limits advised by their Commandant.

Candidates must hold or have held a Land Forces or a Cadet Forces commission.

It is a requirement under the Disclosure and Barring Services Code of Practice that this position requires an “Enhanced Disclosure” prior to appointment.

The Secretariat (7 Bde MS) reserves the right to contact an applicant’s current Commandant (or Commanding Officer in the case or Regular or Army Reserve applicants) to ask for a reference where this is deemed necessary.

VACANCY FOR COLONEL CADETS (EA)

A vacancy has arisen for Colonel Cadets (EA) in 7 Infantry Brigade and Headquarters East. The post covers East Anglia (EA), which consists of the counties of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.

The post of Colonel Cadets is a voluntary appointment. However, the successful applicant will be eligible to receive remuneration in the form of Volunteer Allowance (VA) for full day’s attendance and certain other allowances for subsistence and travel when on ACF duty in accordance with ACF Regulations and within the limits advised by Brigade.

Candidates must hold or have held a Naval/ Land/ Air Forces commission.

It is a requirement under the Disclosure and Barring Service Code of Practice that this position requires an “Enhanced Disclosure” prior to appointment.
