The latest East Anglian based company to sign the Armed Forces Covenant is Levertech Aviation in Stansted.
The Covenant was signed by Director, Rob Robson, Levertech Aviation Services, and witnessed by Lieutenant Colonel George Cormack, who was representing the Armed Forces.
Levertech Aviation specialise in the installation of airport electrical and mechanical services including airfield lighting, baggage systems, retail, property and water services, within airside and landside environments. They are part of the larger group Levertech Engineering Services Ltd who provide Electrical and Mechanical solutions to the Commercial, Industrial, HV and Airport Sectors.
Rob Robson, Director, Levertech Aviation Services, commented,
“The Armed Forces produce people who are well trained, keen to learn and are highly skilled individuals. It is our duty to support their transition from a Military background to a Civilian Role.
The ex-servicemen recruited to date have fitted easily within our site and office environments. New staff are receiving support from our Clients enabling them to add value from day one.
We truly believe that the mix between Apprentices and ex-Military staff will provide a long-term successful path supporting our strategy on developing our employees and providing clear career progression.
Ian Robinson MBE, has been instrumental in managing the interface between ourselves and the Military, which has provided high calibre candidates who wish to Aspire, Develop and Perform within our company.”
Lieutenant Colonel George Cormack added,
“The Levertech team is doing a tremendous job in supporting our military personnel. They are setting a superb example and their approach is a great model for others companies in the area to follow.
Signing the covenant enables Levertech to officially recognise the value serving personnel, reservists, veterans and military families bring to the company. Their staff will also be able to promote the fact the company is Armed Forces friendly.”
Kristina Carrington, Regional Employer Engagement Director at the Ministry Of Defence, said:
“This is a great way for businesses and organisations to publicly declare their support to Defence personnel and I’m delighted Levertech Aviation have now done so. I encourage any employer to consider making the pledge and reap the benefits of recruiting individuals with military experience.”
