The Air Training Corps (ATC) is a national youth organisation sponsored by, although not part of, the Royal Air Force that promotes a practical interest in aviation for 13-20 year olds, offering young people the chance to take to the skies and partake in a wide range of adventurous pursuits.
The ATC aims to promote and encourage a practical interest in Aviation and the Royal Air Force amongst young people; provide training which will be useful in the Services and civilian life and encourage the spirit of adventure and develop qualities of leadership and good citizenship.
Joining the Air Cadets can give you a chance to fly! You could be a passenger in a light aircraft, a glider or even on-board RAF aircraft such as our Typhoon fast-jet or a Chinook helicopter. There are opportunities to learn how to pilot a glider once you are over 16.
